Hi Jack,

Welcome to Synthesis Teams!

Communication. Problem-solving. International teamwork. These are the skills that will matter most for your future. They're also the skills you're here to practice.

Every few weeks we’re going to equip you with the feedback and data you need to help you on your journey to make any team you join better. This is your first entry.

At Synthesis, students from 78 countries join our sessions each week. Take a look:

You’ve taken your first steps in building a global mindset. You’ve played 44 games with 15 teammates from 5 countries around the world.

We've been observing your progress during your introductory missions as you practiced the basics of problem-solving and teamwork. As you move into the Synthesis universe, we'll continue to gather insights into your skills as you attend more game and Discussions sessions. In a few weeks, we'll share metrics and feedback on your collaboration skills, such as how you respond to teammates' ideas and how you contribute to your team's goals, to identify your strengths and areas for improvement.

You've also unlocked your portfolio, the game above the game, and you are now eligible to begin working toward becoming a supercollaborator. A supercollaborator is Synthesis' highest honor. It means that a student can join any team, large or small, inside or outside of Synthesis, and consistently make it better. It's akin to a black belt in collaboration, or a doctoral degree in problem-solving. It isn't easy, but it's worth the effort.

Be sure to explore the portfolio section of your Teams account and watch this short explainer video for more details.

Get ready to learn how to make your voice resonate, not just within your team, but across the entire Synthesis community.

To the stars (and Mars),
Josh
