On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice excellent
behaviors that enhance your teamwork.
The
Synthesis Mission Brief
explains your teamwork challenge for this week. It's
Natural Election week, and that means your negotiation skills will be put to the test. Will your teams negotiate in good faith or in bad faith? Both can lead to a win, but are all wins created equal?

Zunqi, here are some observations about your participation and communication during Play:
You show strong involvement when playing with your team. Your statements like, "I will go to the orange teleporter," and "I'm going to defend," reveal that you are comfortable taking on different roles and making decisions that support your team. You're also very attentive to responding to what¡¯s happening in the game with phrases such as, "Everybody in offense mode!" Keep this up, as it helps your team stay informed and ready. To continue growing, try to balance your reactive comments with more proactive ideas that suggest new strategies.
Your way of talking to your teammates is direct and often helps keep the game moving forward. Phrases like "Throw to Mark!" show that you are clear and action-oriented. It's also great to see you acknowledging your teammates, such as when you said, "Oh, good job!" However, sometimes your directions can lack context. As you keep refining this skill, try to give more detailed instructions and combine them with encouragement. For instance, you could say, "Throw here, then we can all move forward together."
Observations based on your participation in Play sessions in 3 of
the past 4 weeks.
On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice how to
effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully
designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical
communication skills in various ways.
Last week's theme was
"Punishment Fits the Crime." Rules and laws help keep everyone safe and make sure we get along. Break a rule; get a punishment. But what if it's not black and white? What if it's a mistake? Should context matter?
No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from
around the world.
Communication in Discussions sessions
Zunqi's % of time speaking average each session.
Reflection for Zunqi: How does your voice % compare to the
average?
Zunqi, here are some observations about your communication during last week's Discussion:
You spoke very minimally during the Discussion sessions you attended this week, with only a few interjections and short phrases. Due to this, we are unable to offer you a comprehensive analysis of your strengths and areas for growth in communication. After reviewing the session recording we realized that your microphone was picking up background noise from your environment. To improve the quality of your audio and allow us to provide more accurate feedback, we suggest that you either wear a headset or move to a quiet location when you join the next Discussion session. We encourage you to more actively participate and communicate with your team so that we are able to provide you with insights about your communication skills. We hope to see you in a Discussion session soon!
Anyone who¡¯s on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep
improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to
seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we¡¯ll continue giving you
feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
