Yueyi, here are some observations about your participation and communication during Play:
You often take part in the game with thoughtful comments and practical suggestions, like when you said, "You can research the Bears and the Foxes first." This shows you think carefully about what your team needs to succeed. Your proactive attitude is a big plus in teamwork. As you continue developing this skill, try to share your ideas more frequently and involve yourself in the discussions more often. Saying things like, "I have an idea for our next step," can help you make a bigger impact.
Your communication is clear and often helps the team understand what needs to be done, such as when you suggested, "I think next time we can change our strategy because we only have two weeks this time." This shows you are engaged and have good insight into the game. To make your communication even stronger, try to ask more questions and explain your thoughts in more detail. For example, you might explore saying, "What do you think about this idea?" to get your teammates involved and keep the conversation flowing. This will help everyone work together more effectively. Keep up the great work!
Observations based on your participation in Play sessions in 3 of
the past 4 weeks.
On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice how to
effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully
designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical
communication skills in various ways.
Last week's theme was
"Centralized & Decentralized Systems." On a team, who should make decisions? One
person, or the whole group? In groups like sports teams, cities, or families, which system will produce more efficient, more creative, and happier outcomes?
No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from
around the world.

average?
Yueyi, here are some observations about your communication during last week's Discussion:
You show great strengths in staying engaged and considering the ideas shared by your teammates. In one session, you said, ¡°I think it's both too, because...,¡± which highlights how you acknowledge others before adding your thoughts. Similarly, your engagement was clear when you said, ¡°How much pressure would that put on you?¡± These examples illustrate that you are often attentive and willing to build on others¡¯ ideas. However, you could improve by ensuring your responses fully connect back to what previous speakers have mentioned, making your contributions more fluid and cohesive. A useful strategy could be to explicitly reference a peer's point and expand on it, such as saying, ¡°That¡¯s a good point about efficiency; I also think¡¡±
Your ability to support your arguments with logical reasoning is evident too. For instance, in one session, you mentioned, ¡°If everyone tells what they are doing, then it will be more efficient,¡± which shows you think about the logical outcomes. You also effectively compared pros and cons as seen with, ¡°I think the two choices also have all have ups and downs¡¡± To make your contributions even stronger, you might explore providing specific examples or experiences that back up your points. For example, you could say, ¡°Last year, when we had a project, everyone updating their progress helped us finish on time.¡± By including more detailed examples, you'll make your arguments more convincing and robust. Keep up the good work and continue to grow by elaborating on your ideas and connecting them more directly to the discussion!
Anyone who¡¯s on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep
improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to
seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we¡¯ll continue giving you
feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
