TEAMWORK ANALYSIS

Charley, here are some observations about your participation and communication during Play: You have shown a strong willingness to take the lead and keep your team focused. You often guide your teammates with clear instructions like, "Guys, everyone bunch up and then make potions." This proactive approach helps in coordinating your team's efforts effectively. By staying involved and expressing your ideas, you help ensure everyone stays on track. To continue growing, try to make your feedback even more constructive by keeping calm and patient, even when things get frustrating. Your ability to communicate specific details, as seen in, "Somebody get a cannonball,¡± is valuable for teamwork. You provide a lot of directions and motivational commentary, which can keep the energy levels high. However, sometimes your communication can come across as abrupt or dismissive, like when you said, "You don't get it." To make your communication even more effective, consider balancing your enthusiastic directions with more collaborative and inclusive language, making sure everyone feels heard and included. This will help build a stronger, more cohesive team. Keep practicing this in games and other group activities to see even better results! Overall, your leadership and involvement are strong points, and with a bit more focus on patience and collaboration, you can become an even more effective and positive team player.

COMMUNICATION METRICS

On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways.

Last week's theme was "Leading by Example." Leadership is a simple term, but upon examination, it¡¯s actually quite complex. Each scenario presented three types of leadership, and students discussed which one would work best for the situation.

No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.

COMMUNICATION ANALYSIS

Charley, here¡¯s what we noticed about your communication during last week's Discussion session: You show impressive engagement by actively participating in the dialogue and reacting to your teammates¡¯ contributions, like when you said, "That's a good point." These moments demonstrate your awareness and willingness to engage with what others are saying. You're also good at sharing your opinions directly, as seen when you stated, "I think it's the third one," and "They should be recycling because they want to not because they want money." To keep developing your communication skills, consider trying to build on others' ideas positively and offer more detailed reasoning behind your opinions, such as explaining why "it will take you a whole year to coach all of them." This way, you¡¯ll foster a more collaborative and inclusive discussion environment. Keep up the good work!

Anyone who¡¯s on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
