Lufei, here are some observations about your participation and communication during Play:
You consistently show enthusiasm and willingness to engage in games. Phrases like, ¡°I got it! I got it!¡± highlight your eagerness to contribute. This positive attitude is fantastic and helps keep team spirits high. As you continue developing this skill, consider taking on more proactive roles, such as suggesting new strategies or actions. This will help you become an even more integral part of the team¡¯s success.
You do a great job communicating your actions and needs, like when you said, ¡°I need a battery.¡± Asking questions and seeking clarification, for example, ¡°What do you mean by that?¡± shows that you are attentive and want to understand the game better, which is really helpful. You might explore giving more specific and detailed instructions or suggestions, like instead of saying, ¡°Stop,¡± you could explain, ¡°Stop and let¡¯s gather all the batteries before we move forward.¡± This clarity will strengthen your role in teamwork and ensure that your contributions lead the group more effectively.
Keep up the great work, and remember, your positive energy and willingness to engage are truly valuable!
Observations based on your participation in Play sessions in 3 of
the past 4 weeks.
On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice how to
effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully
designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical
communication skills in various ways.
Last week's theme was
"Leading by Example." Leadership is a simple term, but upon examination, it¡¯s actually quite complex. Each scenario presented three types of leadership, and students discussed which one would work best for the situation.
No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from
around the world.
Communication in Discussions sessions
Lufei's % of time speaking average each session.
Reflection for Lufei: How does your voice % compare to the
average?
You spoke very minimally during the Discussion sessions you attended last week, with only a few interjections and short phrases. Due to this, we are unable to offer you a comprehensive analysis of your strengths and areas for growth in communication.
We encourage you to more actively participate and communicate with your team in upcoming Discussion sessions so that we are able to provide you with insights about your communication skills. If you are unsure what to say, we would encourage you to ask your teammates questions to learn more about how they voted and what they think. You could also volunteer to read some of the slides aloud for your team.
We hope to see you in a Discussion session soon!
Anyone who¡¯s on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep
improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to
seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we¡¯ll continue giving you
feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
