TEAMWORK ANALYSIS

Martin, here are some observations about your participation and communication during Play: You consistently show a lot of enthusiasm and engagement in the sessions. You frequently share ideas and take the initiative, like when you said, ¡°Let's speedrun the game¡± and "Keep the ball alive. Keep the ball alive." These contributions show that you are excited and want to keep the team moving forward. Sometimes, your energy leads to moments where you ask others to focus or make quick decisions, such as "Tell me what you're doing" and "Do we have like a direct plan on this or just blind guessing?" As you continue practicing this skill outside of Synthesis, try to balance your enthusiasm by making space for your teammates' ideas and encouraging them to contribute as well. This can make your team even stronger and help everyone feel more included. Your communication is often clear and direct, which helps in giving directions and keeping the gameplay flowing. For instance, when you said, ¡°We should really be building temples now!¡± and ¡°What temple should we build now guys?¡± it helped set a clear goal for the team. Occasionally, though, your comments can divert focus from the task or feel a bit dominant. You can keep refining this skill in other areas of life by also listening carefully to your teammates and considering their suggestions. This back-and-forth can lead to better teamwork and even more successful games. Keep bringing your energy and enthusiasm, and remember that encouraging collaboration will make the whole team shine!

COMMUNICATION METRICS

On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways.

Last week's theme was "Deep Space." Students walked through a deep space mission, from planning and preparation to food and communication. The point? To practice thinking through the problems kids don¡¯t usually consider; and in doing so, widen their future problem-solving capacity.

No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.

COMMUNICATION ANALYSIS

Martin, here¡¯s what we noticed about your communication during last week's Discussion session: You show great enthusiasm and actively participate in the group, often contributing ideas and responding to questions, like when you said, ¡°You can just mine, mine, and I'll re-build¡± and ¡°I'm pretty good at science.¡± This shows you are engaged and eager to be part of the discussion. However, to keep developing your communication skills, consider trying to stay more focused on the topic and ensuring that your playful comments, like ¡°Yeah, Bobbety Bobb! Bobbety Bobb, the Bobbler!¡± don¡¯t disrupt the group's flow. Additionally, acknowledging your teammates directly, such as by using their names and thanking them for their ideas, could make your contributions even more meaningful. Keep up the good work in participating and try to refine these areas to become an even better communicator!

Anyone who¡¯s on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
