Monthly Feedback Report for Mabel

TEAMWORK METRICS

On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice excellent behaviors that enhance your teamwork.

This week's theme is disruption communication. Good communication is easy when things feel calm, but when the pressure goes up our communication can become chaotic.

We'll explore techniques to help keep teams focused, calm, and in control as we play Hyperball. Check out the Synthesis Mission Brief for a preview of what to expect in Play this week.

TEAMWORK ANALYSIS

Mabel, here are some observations about your participation and communication during Play: You are actively involved in the sessions and frequently propose strategies or make suggestions, such as "Okay, let's go to Pink's planet," and "I will go get a satellite, [teammate]." This shows your willingness to guide and support the team. Great job! As you continue developing this skill, consider adding more clarity to your directives by specifying details like locations when you say, ¡°Go with orange,¡± to avoid any potential confusion. This can help your teammates follow your guidance more easily and ensure everyone is on the same page. In terms of communication, you consistently engage with your team by offering ideas and providing feedback, for example, ¡°How many APs do you have now?¡± and ¡°Maybe we should buy more satellites.¡± Your readiness to seek help, like when you ask ¡°Can somebody help me?¡± is great for fostering teamwork. To enhance this skill further, try making your instructions more detailed and avoid repetitive phrases, like "Follow me, okay? Follow me." This will help in making your messages clearer and more impactful. You can keep refining this skill in other areas of life by practicing giving clear, concise instructions and confirming that everyone understands your plan. Keep up the great work!

On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways.

Last week's theme was "Incentives." What truly drives people to take action? Is it recognition, a prize, or the thrill of experience? What kind of reward works best when the stakes are high¨Cand what kind of incentive do you personally prefer?

No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.

COMMUNICATION ANALYSIS

Mabel, here¡¯s what we noticed about your communication during last week's Discussion session: You do a great job of providing thoughtful input, as seen when you said, "I think maybe creativity," and your supportive statements like "Yeah, I like that," show that you value your team¡¯s contributions. These are strengths since they demonstrate that you can be both a good listener and an active contributor when prompted. To keep developing your communication skills, consider trying to participate more actively from the beginning of the discussion. By sharing your ideas earlier and acknowledging your teammates' contributions even more frequently and explicitly, you'll help create a deeper connection and make the conversation even more engaging. Remember, your voice adds great value to the group!

Anyone who¡¯s on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
