Monthly Feedback Report for Lufei

TEAMWORK METRICS

On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice excellent behaviors that enhance your teamwork.

This week's theme is the purpose of practice. They say practice makes perfect, but maybe the better question is 'Can your practice be perfect?'

You'll have two chances to play each map in the playlist. Will you make the most of your practice as you play for the Hyperball trophy? Check out the Synthesis Mission Brief for a preview of what to expect in Play this week.

TEAMWORK ANALYSIS

Lufei, here are some observations about your participation and communication during Play: You consistently show incredible enthusiasm and passion during our sessions, and your active involvement is commendable. You're great at initiating interactions and sharing your thoughts and ideas, as seen in statements like ¡°I¡¯ll get this one¡± and ¡°Let¡¯s go and go for frogs and also boars.¡± This eagerness helps keep the group energized and focused. As you continue practicing this skill outside of Synthesis, consider aligning your contributions more closely with the team's strategies. For example, instead of saying ¡°They have made me mad too many times,¡± try offering a specific solution or action plan. This will help your team stay coordinated and efficient. Your communication is generally clear and motivational, which positively impacts your team¡¯s morale. You often provide valuable insights and ask thoughtful questions, such as ¡°What do you guys say about when the time for a ball time?¡± and ¡°How about like we support everything?¡± These efforts to check in and engage with your teammates are fantastic. To improve further, focus on being more specific and clear in your instructions and feedback. When you say, ¡°Bro, they have like more ore than us, bro,¡± try following up with a clear action item everyone can understand and act on. You can keep refining this skill in other areas of life by ensuring your comments are directly related to ongoing discussions, contributing to a more organized and effective teamwork experience.

COMMUNICATION METRICS

On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways.

Last week's theme was "Stranded!" Effective communication in a crisis isn¡¯t easy. Students explored a classic collaborative crisis: being stranded on a desert island. What decisions could help to prevent misunderstandings, build trust, and get everyone work together? Because even if they¡¯re never literally stranded, students should still be prepared to communicate through the unexpected.

No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.

COMMUNICATION ANALYSIS

Lufei, here¡¯s what we noticed about your communication during last week's Discussion session: You showed a great deal of respect for your teammates by acknowledging their contributions with kind words like ¡°Yeah¡± and ¡°Thank you.¡± This is a wonderful start because it shows you are paying attention and value what others have to say. However, one way you can keep growing is by trying to add a bit more detail to your responses. For example, instead of just saying ¡°Yes,¡± you could explain why you agree or share more of your thoughts. To keep developing your communication skills, consider trying to ask your teammates questions to keep the conversation going. Your willingness to admit a mistake by saying, ¡°I like to admit your mistakes,¡± shows your honesty, but don't be afraid to elaborate on your viewpoints. This will help maintain the flow of the conversation and make discussions more insightful for everyone involved.

Anyone who¡¯s on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
