Monthly Feedback Report for Wei
On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice excellent
behaviors that enhance your teamwork.
This week's theme is
the purpose of practice. They say practice makes perfect, but maybe the better question is
'Can your practice be perfect?'
You'll have two chances to play each map in the playlist. Will you make the most of your practice as you play for the
Hyperball trophy? Check out the
Synthesis Mission Brief for a preview of what to expect in Play this week.

Wei, here are some observations about your participation and communication during Play:
You do a fantastic job engaging consistently throughout the sessions. Your frequent contributions, like "Let's conquer the bottom" and "Walk to the goal," show that you are very involved and eager to help your team succeed. Your strategic suggestions, such as ¡°We need to have more systems to be more consistent,¡± illustrate your proactive approach to planning and game strategy. One area for growth could be ensuring that your instructions and strategies are clear and concise to help your teammates understand their tasks better. You can keep refining this skill in other areas of life by practicing clear and directed communication, like explaining a game plan to friends in other group activities or sports.
Your communication is generally clear and supportive, helping to keep your team coordinated and informed. For instance, when you said, ¡°Hey Echo, can you go here or Andrew?" you gave specific instructions that were likely very helpful to your teammates. Your feedback and explanations, such as ¡°We can't use Eden satellites or else we could do that. So that's a not a good idea,¡± demonstrate your understanding of game mechanics and your willingness to share this knowledge. As you continue developing this skill, consider inviting quieter teammates to share their ideas or asking for their opinions more frequently. This could make your team even stronger, and you can apply this by including everyone's thoughts during group projects or class discussions.
Keep up the great work, Wei, and continue building on these teamwork skills!
Observations based on your participation in Play sessions in 3 of
the past 4 weeks.
On your journey to make any team you join better, you¡¯ll practice how to
effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully
designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical
communication skills in various ways.
Last week's theme was
"Stranded!" Effective communication in a crisis isn¡¯t easy. Students explored a classic collaborative crisis: being stranded on a desert island. What decisions could help to prevent misunderstandings, build trust, and get everyone work together? Because even if they¡¯re never literally stranded, students should still be prepared to communicate through the unexpected.
No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from
around the world.

Reflection for Wei: How does your voice % compare to the
average?
Productive communication and effective teamwork go hand in hand. Because you were unable to attend a Discussion session last week, we can¡¯t provide a current analysis of your strengths and areas for growth in your communication skills, including active listening and clarity of expression. To ensure our feedback is timely and relevant, we focus on your most recent conversations during Discussions. Feedback on conversations you had two or three weeks ago may not be as effective in helping you grow.
In Discussion sessions, you¡¯ll learn how to craft an educated opinion and express it civilly to peers from around the globe. We encourage you to attend upcoming sessions so we can help you develop your communication skills further.
This week¡¯s theme was selected by students themselves: ¡°The Fermi Paradox.¡± The scenarios dive deeper into the search for extraterrestrial life, including what message humans might send, what impacts alien discovery might have, and even what defines ¡°life¡± itself.
We hope you can join the conversation!
Anyone who¡¯s on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep
improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to
seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we¡¯ll continue giving you
feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
