Monthly Feedback Report for Lufei
For the first time ever, teams can earn the prestigious
BNI (Batteries Not Included) Expert Challenge this week. It's the last map in the playlist, and it's tough.
The bigger question is about effective teamwork, especially when the stakes are high. Can a team reach the highest level if they are missing team cohesion?
Beyond the game, what are your personal goals for this week?
Be sure to check out the

You¡¯ve been around Synthesis Teams for a while, so you know that good teamwork means more than just participating in the game and communicating with your teammates.
It involves cooperative planning, coordinating roles, and shared decision-making. It¡¯s about including everyone and checking in on progress toward the team¡¯s goals.
This month, we¡¯ll take a closer look at these important aspects of teamwork as we examine your
goal-oriented collaboration skills.
Lufei, here's what we observed about your teamwork skills during Play: One thing you did especially well was your involvement in setting goals and aligning strategies with your teammates, as seen when you said, "I'll go on offense," demonstrating your readiness to take on specific roles, and "So we're just going with the left village first," showing your focus on strategic prioritization. Another great thing we saw was your adaptability in strategy discussions, such as when you asked, "So, like, what temple should we build first?" showing your adaptability in aligning with group strategy. One way to grow even more is to work on providing more specific and clear suggestions during strategy discussions. Proposing explicit plans can help the team focus and advance together, like when you anticipated potential adjustments with "try another plan if this fails." Why is this important? Being clear with your ideas not only helps the team understand and agree on a game plan, it also sharpens your ability to lead others toward shared goals. Keep bringing your enthusiasm and focus to the game, and continue practicing these skills to enhance your team's success!
Observations based on your participation in Play sessions in 3 of the past 4 weeks.
On your journey to make any team you join better, you'll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways.
Last week's theme was
"Athena vs. Demeter." What matters more: stability or ambition? Students explored this timeless question using two ancient Greek archetypes: Demeter and Athena. The ¡°Demeter Path¡± represents focusing on essentials like food and self-reliance, while the ¡°Athena Path¡± pushes for innovation and future goals. Which path did your student choose for the city of Thebes? The scenarios may be set two thousand years ago, but the concepts echo through history ¡ª even today.
No right or wrong answers. Just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.
Communication in Discussions Sessions
Speaking % in Lufei's Discussion session last week.
Reflection for Lufei: Does the communication in your team room show that everyone has an opportunity to speak?
Lufei, here¡¯s what we noticed about your communication during last week¡¯s Discussion session: It's great that you showed alignment with your teammates by saying ¡°Same,¡± which can let others know when you agree with what they are saying. One way to keep building your skills is by expressing your thoughts more often. For instance, when you said ¡°Um, I don't know yet,¡± you opened up an opportunity to engage further. You might try asking follow-up questions to encourage yourself to dive deeper into the discussion. This could help you feel more confident and make your contribution even more exciting for everyone involved!
Anyone who's on the path toward becoming a Supercollaborator is able to keep improving their skills and making course corrections. We look forward to seeing you at future Play + Discussion sessions, and we'll continue giving you feedback on your teamwork and communication skills.
