Hi Wei,
Three weeks ago, you received feedback on how you were using your voice during Play sessions. You¡¯ve attended 6 of the past 6 Play sessions since then. Here¡¯s how your voice has progressed in that time:
Communication Data
Wei's % of time speaking average each session.
Reflection for Wei: How does your voice % in the last 6 sessions compare to the first 6 sessions?
Communication Analysis
Wei, since the baseline analysis, you have shown growth in several areas of communication. Your clarity and conciseness in communication have improved, as seen when you effectively express your thoughts and ideas. For example, you keep your messages concise and to the point, maximizing understanding for others. Comparatively, in the baseline analysis, there were instances where your communication lacked clarity, with vague language and repetitions.
Your active listening skills have also improved. You actively engage with your teammates' comments, respond thoughtfully, and demonstrate attentiveness to the conversation. For instance, when your teammate mentions reading the movies, you humorously reply, "Yeah, put it one over another nine I wrote." This shows your growth in actively listening and engaging with your teammates' ideas.
While you have shown growth in some areas, there are still areas where you require further development. One such area is effective questioning. In the provided sessions, there is limited evidence of you engaging in questioning to enhance the conversation or seek further understanding. Developing your questioning skills would help facilitate deeper discussions and encourage your teammates' participation. Comparatively, in the baseline analysis, there was a need for improvement in this area as well.
Additionally, there is room for growth in empathy and perspective-taking. While you do show some level of responsiveness when your teammate asks for help, there is limited evidence of significant displays of empathy or actively promoting an inclusive and understanding environment. To improve in this area, actively acknowledging and validating others' feelings and experiences would be beneficial.
In summary, Wei, you have made progress in your communication skills since the baseline analysis. Your clarity and conciseness, as well as active listening, have improved. However, there is still room for growth in effective questioning and displaying empathy and perspective-taking. Keep working on these areas, and you will see continued growth in your communication abilities.
