Hi Charley,
On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Last week, the session introduced students to five scenarios asking students to rank various options based on one specific cost. Then, in the second half of the session, students add in the relative benefits of each option to practice making holistic decisions based an analysis of costs and benefits.
Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Charley, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.
In terms of clarity and conciseness, there were instances where your statements were unclear or lacked coherence, making it challenging to understand your intended meaning. For example, you repeated phrases and sounds like "na na na" and "blah blah blah," which could be distracting for others and muddle your communication. While you expressed enthusiasm and excitement through your tone, improving the clarity of your messages will further enhance your ability to effectively convey your thoughts.
When it comes to active listening, you were engaged and responsive to the statements of your teammates. Your excitement and enthusiasm towards their contributions were evident, and you actively participated in the discussion. For example, when discussing the best career, to start the conversation you asked, "I think the social worker will be best, right?" which invited others to give their opinions. You listened to what others had to say and made your decisions based on their input. Keep improving your active listening skills by staying focused on the main discussion points.
Overall, your communication abilities show areas of strength and areas for growth. By being clear and concise in your communication and staying focused during discussions you can further enhance your communication skills and contribute to more meaningful and productive group discussions.
Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors.
After reading your feedback, come up with 1 main, specific goal of how you¡¯ll improve your communication in this week's Discussion Sessions. Feel free to reply to this email and let us know what that goal is. This week, you will be asked to compare and contrast the diverse options of three different scenarios in order to practice identifying and evaluating the underlying commonalities between each choice. If you attend, we¡¯ll give you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice after incorporating this email¡¯s insights.
