Communication Analysis
Martin, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.

We appreciate that you voice your thoughts and are willing to share ideas with your peers. However, your contributions sometimes lack a direct connection to the central topic of the conversation. A positive moment was when you clearly expressed wanting to expand the conversation with ¡°Okay, so I'd like to branch past GPT,¡± This shows that you are capable of contributing focused and relevant points. To enhance your effectiveness, we encourage you to consistently ensure your comments are tied closely to the topic being discussed.

During the sessions, we noticed that your listening skills are a mix of engaging and becoming sidetracked. However, statements like ¡°But what if...¡± followed by irrelevant questions indicate a tendency to leap to new ideas before fully exploring the current topic. We advise you to allow conversations to develop more naturally by ensuring that your interjections are closely related to what others are discussing.

Lastly, your questioning strategy could be more finely tuned to elevate the group discussion. While you do ask questions, such as ¡°So, look at this, that is low risk,¡± these don't always seem to match the trajectory the group conversation is taking. Asking questions that build on what has just been said could greatly improve the collective understanding of the topic. Remember, your inquisitiveness can be a powerful tool if used to delve deeper into the subject matter rather than shifting it to a new direction. We encourage you to craft questions that are mindful of the current discussion point, promoting a more cohesive and rich group dialogue.

Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
