Hi Andrew,

On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways. Last week, you explored six scenarios and discussed whether a competitive or cooperative mindset would create better outcomes.

Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Andrew, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.

Your ability to express your thoughts has both strong points and opportunities for improvement. You've demonstrated the potential to deliver your messages with clarity, especially when dealing with concrete topics. For example, when you confidently stated, "I think team sports is the hardest," it was an instance of you sharing a clear viewpoint. However, there are moments where brevity and precision could enhance your communication. Consider the phrase, "Convide ideas and skills. is a price," where the meaning could be misunderstood due to grammatical ambiguity. By refining such statements, you would enhance the effectiveness of your communication.

Your responsiveness to your teammates' ideas indicates good listening skills. You exhibit a knack for keeping track of the conversation, as shown when you replied, "No, if you work with a partner you'll share the money," which was pertinent to your peer's earlier concern about prize sharing. This reflects your ability to engage with the discourse actively. Even so, to strengthen your inquiries, try to devise questions that are more focused on expanding the conversation based on what your peers have already mentioned. Asking broad questions like "What do you guys think?" is a decent starting point, but to deepen the dialogue, you might consider following up with more targeted questions that reference specific points made by your teammates.

Finally, your tone is generally sensitive, and you make an effort to address potential misunderstandings without being critical. Moving forward, you could further demonstrate empathy by consistently acknowledging and building upon the ideas of others, thereby fostering an even more respectful and collaborative discussion environment. Overall, with refinement in articulating more precise statements, enhancing your questioning technique, and continuing your considerate engagement with others' perspectives, your communication skills will continue to grow stronger.

Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
