Hi Xinlv,

On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways. Last week, you considered real-world examples of irreversible decisions in the worlds of music, art, business, and technology. What happened to people and businesses who crossed the point of no return?

Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Xinlv, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.

In the last session, you showed some progress in engaging in conversation with your peers. For example, we heard you clearly ask for help from your teammates when you said, "Hmm... Can everybody help me? What is this?" That was a good way to utilize the strengths of your group to enhance your participation. Continuing to work on expressing your ideas succinctly will be beneficial for you and your teammates.

On the matter of engaging with your teammates' ideas, it seems you could offer more feedback and build on their contributions. Being an active participant often means demonstrating that you understand and are considering your teammates' perspectives. This helps create a rich dialogue and contributes to a collaborative environment. Given the limited examples of such interactions in this session, this is an area where you could grow. Strive to show that you are not only present but are processing and valuing what others have to say. For example, you might try things like, "Good point. What do you think about . . . ?" or "I hadn't thought of that."

Xinlv, it's encouraging that you have become more vocal, and with continued effort, you will likely see significant improvements in your ability to engage with and contribute to your group's success.

Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
