Hi zunqi,

On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways. Last week, you considered real-world examples of irreversible decisions in the worlds of music, art, business, and technology. What happened to people and businesses who crossed the point of no return?

Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Zunqi, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.

Throughout the sessions, you have consistently employed brevity in your communication, often using simple affirmations such as "Thank you" and "No, no, no, no!" While this clear and straightforward approach can be effective for quick acknowledgments, it may limit the depth of your contributions. To enhance your interactions, consider providing more detailed responses or expanding on your ideas, as evidenced by instances where you briefly engaged with the content by saying, "Yeah, don't stop." Delving further into discussions with more extended dialogue can not only demonstrate your understanding but also provide valuable insights for your peers. Similarly, asking questions can lead to more dynamic conversations and show a keen interest in the topics discussed.

Active participation is crucial for demonstrating and improving your communication prowess. While your responses do reflect a level of active listening, we encourage you to build on this by engaging more with the ideas shared by your teammates. You can do this by reflecting on their statements and offering your thoughts in return. This approach will not only benefit your ability to engage in dialogue but also allow a more thorough evaluation of your skills. Consider responding in a way that conveys an understanding of your teammates' views. For instance, following up a thanks with a personalized comment about what you appreciated could convey a deeper level of engagement and understanding.

By applying the suggestions proposed¡ªsuch as making longer statements, asking relevant questions, and expressing understanding for others' perspectives¡ªyou can elevate the quality of your contributions to future discussions. We recognize your potential and look forward to seeing you soon in another Discussion session!

Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
