Hi Andrew,
On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways. Last week, you considered real-world examples of irreversible decisions in the worlds of music, art, business, and technology. What happened to people and businesses who crossed the point of no return?
Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Andrew, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.
In your most recent session, you demonstrated an ability to initiate conversations with your teammates by expressing your thoughts and seeking their input directly with questions like, "What do you guys think?" This shows a strength in engaging others and an eagerness to collaborate, which is crucial for group discussions. From our previous analysis, you have maintained a respectful tone, indicating you value a cooperative environment. However, to aid in the flow of the conversation and provide a deeper understanding for everyone involved, it would be beneficial for you to build on the clarity of your ideas. For example, your comment "The drink was... the original drink was bad," could be structured more clearly by explaining why the drink was bad and how others might be able to help. This would continue to improve from the previous feedback, where your connectivity between points was an area for growth.
Your active participation suggests that you listen well to your peers, as seen when you reacted with statements like "I said we can do it. We need to take the work." This contributes positively to moving the conversation forward. Comparatively, in the previous session, there was an indication that you were building upon what others had said, which is excellent. To further enhance your listening skills, consider delving deeper into the comments made by your teammates by offering more insightful feedback to their ideas. This practice not only shows active engagement but also encourages a richer dialogue within the group.
Lastly, effective questioning continues to be an area for development. Questions like "What do you guys think?" are effective for soliciting basic feedback, but expanding your questioning to probe deeper into the topics discussed could lead to more substantial conversations. Similarly, in the past, there were opportunities for you to use questions to explore ideas further. Maintain your empathetic stance and consider how you can elevate the discussion by asking questions that challenge the group to think critically and collaboratively. By focusing on both sharing your ideas with more precision and inviting a deeper examination of topics through your inquiries, you will further enhance your communication skills in group settings.
Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
