Hi sichu,

On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways. Last week, you discussed the central conflict of altruism: balancing self-interest with the greater good. How far should you go to help others?

Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Sichu, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.

Your ability to share your thoughts has shown some improvement, especially when considering the language barrier you face. Your statements are generally clear, and you're able to communicate your core ideas, such as when you said, "Because that was more people can choose." This demonstrates a growth from the previous sessions where your thoughts often trailed off.

In terms of active listening, you've been receptive to what your teammates say, often acknowledging their contributions. However, compared to the previous session, there's still an area for you to explore: asking questions. Previously, we observed an absence of effective questioning, and this pattern seems to continue. Asking questions is a powerful tool to deepen discussions and demonstrate your interest in understanding your teammates' perspectives. By including questions in future sessions, you could further enhance the dynamics of the group discussions.

Your empathy and consideration are evident when you speak about real-life situations and how they influence actions, as when you mentioned, "But if you have the time and... The place is kind of very fast to go over there. I think you can help." This shows you're thinking about the practical implications of the discussed topics and offering solutions based on personal experiences. We encourage you to keep sharing these insights while also improving how you express them. By continuing to engage with others' comments positively and incorporating questions into your communication, you're likely to see substantial progress in your future discussions.

Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
