Hi David,
On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways. Last week, you explored the trade-offs between immediate benefits and long-term advantages and how decisions today can shape the world of tomorrow.
Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
David, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.
In terms of sharing your thoughts, it seems there's been a slight shift. In the past, you were able to clearly communicate complex ideas about black holes, as indicated by your statement, "Yeah, I know it's invisible, but the most important point is the study of black holes, right?" However, more recently, your contributions, like "What if you could keep studying in college, but like, for example, college was called programming, and in programming, you basically just try to design a paper's off," though reflective, could be more effectively communicated with greater attention to clarity and conciseness. This would make it easier for your teammates to understand and engage with your ideas. It's beneficial to frame your thoughts in a way that makes the meaning clear and directs the conversation forward.
Your listening skills appear to have improved, as evidenced by your simple acknowledgment of "Yeah" in response to a peer's comment, which shows you are hearing them. To further demonstrate active listening, we recommend building upon your peers' statements more often, just as you have asked for clarification in the past, with questions like, "Yeah, but would you never play sports?" Engaging directly with what others say will show that you are not only hearing them but also thinking deeply about their contributions.
Noteworthy is your questioning stance, as seen in, "Will electric cars take over in the market?" which encourages peer interaction and shows your inquisitive approach. Yet, there is still room for growth when it comes to empathy and perspective-taking, which were not strongly displayed in these most recent sessions. Previously you showed ability in considering broad impacts, such as with the statement, "Yeah, soil, water, and air can make trees grow." I encourage you to recapture that spirit of perspective-taking, as it will enrich your interactions and help create a supportive environment for all participants in the discussion. Engaging empathetically can also open the door to understanding your teammates on a deeper level.
Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
