Hi Andrew,

On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways. Last week, you imagined a world without money, where humans work alongside AI, and where income is guaranteed. Is this future a step forward, or is it a mistake? No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.

Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Andrew, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.

You exhibit a capability to express your thoughts with both clarity and purpose. For example, you made a structured argument during one session, stating, "I think we should do robot exploration because once you did robotic exploration and then you establish stuff..." which concisely conveyed your viewpoint. However, while your ideas are articulated, you could strive for greater conciseness to streamline the flow of discussion. Previous feedback has encouraged you to avoid repetition and develop your points further, as seen in your repeated statement, "And if somebody hacks one and somebody plug in a USB...". Continuing to refine the way you present your thoughts will not only help maintain the attention of your teammates but also elevate the quality of the discussions.

It's commendable that you show signs of active listening, responding to your peers and sometimes building on their contributions, like when you engaged with your peer's comment and revisited the job sharing topic by inquiring, "Maybe like... Jobs that you need like a specific skill in order to do?" However, there is still room for you to develop this skill more fully by ensuring that your responses constructively elaborate on what others have said. In previous sessions, you've been noted to offer simple affirmations; moving forward, you might consider expanding on these with more detailed acknowledgments or critiques.

Regarding effective questioning, your approach can enhance group discussions when you ask targeted questions, such as, "Which industry will benefit the most job, most for job sharing?" Nonetheless, to take your communication skills to the next level, it's important to ask questions with clear intent and less repetition, avoiding statements like "I think partially employment is a little bit better, but I think fully employment is fine, but I think partially employment is a little bit better." Focused questions will be crucial for deepening the group's engagement and exploration of various topics. Although previous feedback noted a lack of effective questioning, it's clear you have the potential to facilitate more meaningful interactions by incorporating this strategy more consistently into your participation.

Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
