Hi David,
On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways. Last week, you discussed the potential and pitfalls of the entertainment of tomorrow. From interactive movie theaters to holographic concerts, what are the risks in the future of fun? No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.
Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
David, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication abilities.
In the area of expressing yourself, your contributions to the discussions show enthusiasm and a readiness to engage, which is commendable. Previously, you articulated concise ideas about complex topics like black holes, where you said, "Yeah, I know it's invisible, but the most important point is the study of black holes, right?" This showed a thoughtful approach to complex topics. However, some of your more recent comments, such as "And by the way, if you only select some options and don't do others, then it'll be unfair, right?" could be improved by being more succinct and clear. Striving for precision in your words will allow your teammates to more easily follow along and contribute to the conversations you are sparking.
Your active listening skills are progressing, as seen with your use of acknowledgments like "Yeah", which demonstrates that you hear your teammates. To enhance the way you engage with others, consider how you responded during the discussion about space hotels, "Yeah, but that's a really small thing." Although acknowledging the risk mentioned by a teammate, expanding on this by expressing understanding of their concerns or adding your thoughts respectfully will show a deeper level of listening and regard for your teammates' perspectives.
Finally, your questioning skills remain a strength in your discussions, inducing deeper conversations among participants. You've demonstrated this with questions that open up the floor. However, leaning more into empathy and perspective-taking, as you've previously shown with statements like "Yeah, soil, water, and air can make trees grow," can further enhance your connection with your teammates. Considering their viewpoints wholeheartedly and validating their contributions will not only affirm their input but also deepen your discussions. Remember, every conversation is an opportunity for both sharing and receiving wisdom.
Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
