Hi Dorathy,

On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways.

When everything's important, how do we determine what's most important? One way is to use a 'hierarchy' to rank priorities. Last week, you examined hierarchies in common scenarios in the real world. How did you rank the priorities? No right or wrong answers, just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.

Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Welcome! We are happy you joined your first Discussion session recently. We observed that you appeared to listen carefully and consider others' opinions during the session. Well done! Active listening is an important part of good communication. Students who attend Discussion sessions regularly report that they feel more confident in speaking and sharing their ideas, considering new perspectives, and meeting new people.

We encourage you to attend more Discussion so you can develop these skills. The next time you join, try to share your thoughts and interact with your teammates' ideas. This will not only help in improving the group¡¯s overall experience but will also enrich your own learning and contributions to the discussions. You might volunteer to read some of the answer choices or share your own thinking with the group. Your thoughts and perspective are valuable, so please share what you think and why!

Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
