Hi Wei,

On the journey to make any team you¡¯re on better, you¡¯ll practice how to effectively communicate with everyone. Our Discussion Sessions are carefully designed to provide opportunities for you to practice these critical communication skills in various ways.

Last week, you considered the central conflict at the heart of compounding benefits: choosing to do a little every day versus doing something "bigger" less often. Is it always better to take a compounding approach? No right or wrong answers; just interesting conversations with kids from around the world.

Here¡¯s some feedback on how you used your voice in the Discussion Sessions you attended:

Communication Analysis
Wei, during the recent Discussion sessions we made some observations we would like to share with you about your communication skills.

Your ability to share your thoughts and engage with others is commendable. For example, you help guide the group's actions effectively, like when you said, "Alright, [teammate], go ahead," which keeps the discussion organized. Another clear statement you provided was, "compounding benefits can help you in the long run," which adds value to the conversation.

You show empathy and perspective-taking by validating your peers' viewpoints, such as when you said, "Yeah, that does make sense." This shows you acknowledge and appreciate others' perspectives. To build on this strength, considering incorporating more specific examples to support your ideas. For instance, instead of saying, "compound benefits no matter what," try providing detailed explanations or examples. This approach will not only strengthen your arguments but also help you connect deeply with your peers while leading the discussion effectively.

Anyone who knows how to make any team they¡¯re on better is able to keep improving their skills and correcting their errors. We look forward to seeing you at future Discussion Sessions and we¡¯ll continue giving you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed in using your voice.
