Teamwork Analysis
Lufei, the graphs above show different ways that you have contributed to and coordinated with your teams in the various games. In addition to that data, we have noticed that you have moments of actively engaging with and offering strategies to your team, such as when you said, "I am aiming for the fox." This initiative demonstrates a good understanding of setting objectives. However, there are also times you express a wish to step back, indicated by statements like "I will do nothing in this round. You guys just keep on going without me." Being an active part of the team is important, and it would be great to try to stay involved in every phase of the game.
In your previous analysis, we observed constructive contributions, but we also noted a need for you to express your strategies more clearly. This continues to be an area for growth. For example, you've shown some adaptability with tasks by indicating your intention to research, as seen when you say, "I'm gonna research the dolphins." Yet, it's not always clear how these roles contribute to the overall team goals. To strengthen your teamwork, it would be beneficial to explain how your contributions fit into the team's plans and ask for feedback on the ideas you provide. Additionally, engaging with teammates when they offer strategies or suggestions will show that you value their input.
In terms of incorporating feedback from your peers, you've shown a willingness to adapt and fine-tune your approaches within the games, such as when you decided, "Okay, I'll like go to the board." But we haven't seen a consistent pattern of you seeking other perspectives or using teammates' suggestions to inform your strategies. Encouragement and enthusiasm in response to group success, as with your exclamation "We are such a good team!" can foster positivity. Remember, a good teammate doesn't just support team morale but also actively listens to and implements ideas from the group. A goal for future sessions could be to keep a lookout for opportunities where you can respond to feedback more directly and demonstrate this through your actions and decisions. Keep working on these points, Lufei, and you will undoubtedly strengthen your collaboration skills even further.
Communication Data
Lufei's % of time speaking average each session.
Reflection for Lufei: How does your voice % in the last 6 sessions compare to the first 6 sessions?
We are recalculating our voice metric data to generate a more accurate baseline. If the red baseline (average of all students) looks unusual this week it is due to those recalculations. Your child's average speaking time data is correct. This metric will be fully normalized by the next feedback cycle.
In a few weeks, we¡¯ll give you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed on your teamwork skills after incorporating this email¡¯s insights.
If your parent or guardian has any thoughts on this email, tell them they can fill out this 1-minute survey to keep on improving our session feedback.
