Teamwork Analysis
Wei, the graphs above show different ways that you have contributed to and coordinated with your teams in the various games. In addition to that data, we have noticed that you often take initiative in group discussions and contribute to the team's strategy, as seen when you said, "let's get the ball. I'll be," and "I'm going to try to protect the blue portal." These statements demonstrate your understanding of the game's objectives and a proactive approach to achieving them. On the flip side, enhancing the clarity of your communication could help ensure that all teammates understand their roles in executing the plan better.
In previous sessions, you displayed your strengths, such as when you suggested tasks based on what you are good at, like making batteries. Since then, you have shown continued adaptability and readiness to fulfill various roles within the team setting, exemplified by statements like "I'm just gonna advertise at them" and "I'm going to research." It's excellent to see you embracing different tasks, but remember, being adaptable also means being open to changing roles when it's not initially your idea. To boost your team's success, continue to share your strengths and be willing to take on different roles, but look for ways to get involved in new roles more proactively, especially when your previous analysis suggested you might focus too narrowly at times.
While you sometimes incorporate your teammates' feedback into your decisions, there's room to develop this skill further. In earlier instances, you demonstrated openness by asking questions like, "Should I save AP?" Engaging in this way shows you value your teammates' input. In contrast, recent sessions such as where you agreed with "Public Wi-Fi support support support" show growth in acknowledging team decisions. However, explicitly seeking out teammates' suggestions and articulating how their advice impacts your actions could enhance your teamwork even more. Keep asking for feedback and showing how you put it to use, as seen when you adjusted course after making a mistake, which highlights a good understanding of correcting actions based on the game's outcomes.
Communication Data
Wei's % of time speaking average each session.
Reflection for Wei: How does your voice % in the last 6 sessions compare to the first 6 sessions?
We are recalculating our voice metric data to generate a more accurate baseline. If the red baseline (average of all students) looks unusual this week it is due to those recalculations. Your child's average speaking time data is correct. This metric will be fully normalized by the next feedback cycle.
In a few weeks, we¡¯ll give you feedback on how you¡¯ve progressed on your teamwork skills after incorporating this email¡¯s insights.
If your parent or guardian has any thoughts on this email, tell them they can fill out this 1-minute survey to keep on improving our session feedback.
