The Music Crime Conundrum
About Lesson
@neetujain2227:
Viraaj: I think it is a crime because it is a person’s right to not let anyone use their name.
Neetu: It’s a crime.
What if things would have gone wrong and the song got bad publicity. Then her name and fame got ruined.
Moreover it’s her right to choose whether she wants the fame or not , may be she wanted a retired life and not a crowd of fans.
XYZ is also using Bella’s years of hardship to get famous without paying anything to her
@ferndup7378:
It’s like Post Malone said on Joe Rogan. With AI we’ll be able to create music that fits into our personal lives and things with our favorite artists spitting facts about our lives or whatever we want to hear. Is it a crime? Well depends, did Bella Nova have contracts saying only “ABC COMPANY” cab produce her music? The scenario was not well explained and too many details were left out to answer the vague question…
@alex140666:
I guess it depends on whether or not the BellaNova is a registered brand name or not. if It is and xyz didn’t get the permission to use it in his album than it may be considered a crime.
@ChatGPT:

CRIME:
Bella Nova’s decision to use artificial intelligence to create music without her direct involvement can be considered a violation of artistic integrity and intellectual property. The DJ named “XYZ” crossed ethical boundaries by simulating Bella’s iconic voice and creating songs without her consent. This not only deceives the audience into believing they are experiencing genuine Bella Nova creations but also infringes on her artistic identity and control over her work. XYZ’s actions could be perceived as a “CRIME” against the principles of artistic autonomy and intellectual property rights.

NO CRIME:
XYZ might argue that their use of artificial intelligence to create music is a form of artistic expression and a response to the evolving landscape of creativity and technology. They may contend that the AI-generated songs are not direct copies but rather unique compositions inspired by Bella Nova’s style. From this viewpoint, XYZ’s actions may be seen as pushing the boundaries of musical innovation and exploration, and not necessarily constituting a “CRIME” against artistic integrity. This perspective suggests that the use of AI in music creation is a legitimate avenue for creative expression in the contemporary music landscape.
