Dear Schoolhouse.world community,
As I reflect on 2024, I’m filled with immense gratitude at what we’ve built together. This year, we reached a milestone that once seemed like a distant dream: 100,000 learners have now been part of our virtual tutoring community. That’s 100,000 individuals who chose to learn with us, to connect with others, and to believe in the power of peer-to-peer learning.
What makes this achievement even more meaningful is how we got here – through the dedication of our incredible tutors. Our tutor community has grown to 15,000 strong, and this year we launched our Senior Tutor program, creating a way for experienced tutors to multiply their impact by mentoring others. Together, our tutors contributed to over 32 million minutes of learning!
This year, we had our largest SAT® Bootcamp yet with 11,504 learners and 1,685 tutors. We also expanded our horizons with new College Admissions Workshops that help students navigate their higher education journey, and Math Learning Labs that bring the Khan Academy curriculum to life through interactive, tutor-led sessions.
I’m particularly excited that 38 colleges now recognize the Schoolhouse Portfolio in their admissions processes – creating more equitable pathways to higher education and highlighting the exceptional work of both our learners and tutors.
Looking ahead to 2025, we’re setting our sights on an ambitious goal: building the foundation to reach millions of learners. And as we scale, we’ll stay true to what makes Schoolhouse.world special: the personal connections, the peer support, and the belief that everyone deserves access to quality education.
