本周，Synthesis 将带孩子们踏上一场关于”公平”与”风险”的思维冒险！在精心设计的超级球赛（Hyperball）中，我们刻意打破平衡——让优势在中场逆转，迫使小选手们同时体验逆风翻盘的韧性与守护优势的智慧。这不仅是游戏，更是一场关于风险决策的生动课堂：当孩子过早面临现实世界的选择（时间、金钱、挑战），如何分辨”明智的冒险”与”鲁莽的冲动”？

This week at Synthesis, we’re taking kids on a thought-provoking adventure exploring “fairness” vs. “risk” through our intentionally unbalanced Hyperball challenge! By dynamically switching team advantages at halftime, young players will experience both the grit of climbing back from behind and the strategy of protecting a lead. But this is more than a game—it’s a masterclass in risk-aware decision-making, teaching kids to navigate real-world choices (time, money, challenges) by distinguishing calculated risks from reckless impulses.

生活并不公平。或者说，至少超级球赛不公平。因为本周我们要探索”不对称风险”。比赛地图会刻意让一方获得优势——更多进球机会，更多得分可能。但中场时，优势将发生转换。我们的目的？让队伍同时体验逆风局与顺风局，既学习绝地反击，也掌握守成之道。无论胜负，这都会成为他们终生受用的宝贵经验。

Life isn’t fair. Or, at least, Hyperball isn’t fair. That’s because we’re exploring asymmetrical risk this week. Maps will intentionally give one team an advantage—more goals, more opportunities. But at halftime, that advantage will switch. Our purpose? For teams to feel what it’s like to be the underdog (and the overdog), to come from behind but also protect a lead. Win or lose, it’s valuable experience for the rest of their lives.

不对称风险 | Asymmetrical Risk

孩子们开始冒险行为的年龄比我们想象的更早——无论是时间分配、金钱管理还是挑战应对。有些孩子过于保守错失良机，有些则不计后果鲁莽冒险。教会他们区分不对称风险与对称风险，能培养战略思维，做出更明智选择，建立真正自信。成功人士都懂得何时该冒险一搏，何时该稳扎稳打。在合成实验室，我们认为孩子们也该掌握这种智慧。

Kids start making risky decisions earlier than we think—whether it’s how they spend their time, handle money, or take on challenges. Some kids play it too safe and miss out on opportunities; others take reckless risks without understanding the consequences. Teaching them the difference between asymmetrical and symmetrical risk helps them think strategically, make smarter choices, and build confidence. The most successful people know when to take a leap and when to play it safe. And at Synthesis, we think kids should learn that too.
